Over
the years members of the Oxfordshire Ski Club have enjoyed
ski lessons from a number of different instructors during
Club holidays, particularly in the French Alps. Below is
a list our particular favourites who are all included because
of the excellence of their teaching techniques.
Val
D'Isere and Tignes
Bob Conkie
Bob has been teaching members
of the ski club for over 20 years and is widely recognised
as an excellent instructor for early stage and intermediate
skiers. He can provide both private and group lessons.

Philippe Calvin
Philippe is a French instructor,
with excellent English, who has been living in Tignes for
over 20 years. He is on the committee of the ESI (The French
“alternative” to ESF) and was an international
freestyle skier in his youth. He is particularly good with
intermediate and advanced skiers and very comfortable with
both on piste and off piste teaching. He takes both group
and private lessons, working with Snow Fun in Val d'Isere

Meribel
Craig Conkie
Craig has been teaching since
2001 in Meribel and was recently asked to head up the new
British Alpine and Snowboard School in Meribel. He can take
both private and group lessons.

La Plagne
Bertrand de Monvallier
Bertrand has been working
with members of the Oxfordshire ski club for over 20 years.
He founded and runs the Oxygène ski school in La
Plagne. The school employs a number of English speaking
instructors and are able to run both private and group lessons.
