Heading - Introduction

Welcome to the Oxfordshire Ski Club

OSC was founded in 1973 by a small group of enthusiastic skiers. Their aim then was to 'promote and maintain interest in skiing and its associated activities'. This is still the clubs main aim.

From a small and dedicated band of a few grew, to the present day, a thriving club run by the members for members, and only seeking to cover costs!

The club meets at O.U.P. Sports Club at Jordan Hill, next to North Oxford Golf Club, from September through to April, normally meeting on the 3rd Wednesday evening of each month.

We have an active social programme, including interesting speakers throughout the winter evenings. We visit Xscape in Milton Keynes and have regular monthly skiing sessions at High Wycome Summit dry ski slope. Due to a serious fire there these arrangements are currently suspended.

We normally provide regular ski lessons on the artificial slope at Wycombe Summit, rated as the longest and best slope in the UK. These lessons take place with the Club's own qualified ESC instructors on evenings convenient to the Instructors and the High Wycombe slope. Due to the fire again these arrangements are currently suspended.

Ski holidays are arranged by various OSC members to European, American and Canadian ski resorts.

A monthly Newsletter provides information on activities, general interest and features provided by club members.

As a club we receive discounts from various snow-sports shops in the area.

So there you have it!

If you are interested in skiing, whether as a novice or an expert, we will have something for you, so why don't you come along and join us. You will be made very welcome.
